Are you a Certified Interior Designer?

Yes. Parisa Diba is a California Certified Interior Designer, CID #7476, with over 20 years of experience.

What is your design style?

We work with a wide range of styles and tailor each project to the client’s taste, lifestyle, home, and budget. Rather than applying one signature look, we focus on creating a cohesive design that feels personal and appropriate for each space.

What types of projects do you take on?

We primarily work on residential design, including new builds, full remodels, additions, ADUs, and interiors, exteriors and landscapes. We’ve also completed many commercial projects, though residential work remains our main focus.

Do you take on small projects?

Yes. We work on projects of different sizes, from individual bathroom or kitchen remodels to full-home renovations, new builds, ADUs, and larger residential or commercial projects.

Do you provide permit sets?

We do not provide permit sets or engineering drawings, but we can complete much of the design work before those documents are prepared. This can include space planning, interior design, exterior design, landscape design, floor plans, elevations, layouts, and detailed design drawings. Once the design is developed, our drawings can be passed to the architect or engineer, who can complete the required permit set and prepare the documents for city submission. This approach can help reduce overall design costs by completing a significant portion of the work at our more competitive design rates.

Do you need frequent site visits?

Our drawings are highly detailed, which helps minimize the need for frequent site visits and reduces confusion during construction. This can save time and help avoid additional job site visit fees.

How is pricing structured?

Pricing depends on the service and scope of work. Many services are offered à la carte, and a general price list is available on the website. Final pricing is provided after a free consultation so we can understand your project and recommend the appropriate level of support.

What areas do you serve?

We are based in Orange and primarily serve Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego. We also work with clients throughout the United States and can manage many projects remotely through detailed drawings, renderings, and design packages.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes. We offer a free initial consultation to learn about your project, answer questions, explain our services, and help you determine what level of design support you may need. We can also share our screen and show examples of past projects so you have a clear understanding of the process before moving forward.

Do you visit showrooms with clients?

Yes. For selected materials and products, we can visit local showrooms with you and help guide the selection process. Clients also receive our resource list and are welcome to explore recommended showrooms independently if they prefer.

What sets us apart is the way we combine design expertise with a more efficient and cost-conscious process. Our international support team helps us keep design costs significantly lower while maintaining a high level of service. Unlike many designers, we do not add markups to furniture, materials, or decor, so you pay only for our time and available trade discounts are passed directly to you. Our detailed drawings also give contractors clearer direction, reducing unnecessary questions, repeated site visits, and additional coordination fees. We also look at the project as a whole, considering space planning, furnishings, and how the interior and outdoor areas work together.

Can I hire you for one service?

Most of our services are flexible. You can choose only what you need, from space planning and detailed design drawings to 3D renderings, material sourcing, or other individual services. Whether you need help with a full project or only a specific portion, you can select the services that best fit your project.

Do you provide as-built plans?

Yes. We personally visit the site and take accurate interior, exterior, and landscape measurements using a laser measuring device. If the landscape is sloped, a professional surveyor may be needed.

What if I already have floor plans?

If you already have a floor plan, even as a PDF or image, that is very helpful. If CAD files are available, even better. However, for critical areas such as kitchens and bathrooms, we still need to verify dimensions before designing. If the home is older or has been modified over the years, we may need to measure more extensively or recreate the plans to make sure they reflect the current conditions. If you do not have any plans at all, we can measure the property and create the necessary as-built drawings.

How long does the design take?

Timelines vary depending on the size and complexity of the project. A larger remodel that includes common areas, the kitchen, and multiple bathrooms may take seven to eight months or more for the design phase, while smaller projects can move more quickly. Timely client feedback also has a significant impact on the schedule.

Do you add markups on products?

Unlike many design firms, we do not add markups to materials, furnishings, or decor. You only pay for our time, and available trade discounts are passed directly to you. We can also assist with selections, specifications, samples, and ordering through our designer trade accounts.

How do I schedule a consultation?

You can visit the Contact page to schedule a free consultation appointment through our calendar. For the best experience, we recommend joining from a computer so we can easily share our screen and walk you through everything.

Will you use my ideas?

Absolutely. Your preferences always come first, and you are never expected to accept a recommendation you do not like. Our role is to guide you, explain the options, and help refine your ideas based on our experience. If there is something you really want, we will do our best to make it work within the overall design so the final result still feels cohesive, functional, and true to you.

Do you handle construction?

We do not provide construction or contracting services. Clients select and hire their own contractor, and we work closely with them to communicate the design intent. Our detailed drawings typically answer most questions before construction begins, but we can also visit the job site when needed to review progress and help make sure the project is moving smoothly.

When should I hire a designer?

Ideally, as early as possible. Bringing us in before construction, purchasing, or major decisions begin allows us to help with space planning, layouts, materials, finishes, and other key selections before costly mistakes are made. We can also step into projects that are already underway and help with the remaining design decisions.
